We are ALWAYS running to our visits. There´s hardly any time to proselyte at night so we just have to run constantly. We honestly dont ever walk when we´re out going to other visits. Its a blessing though because im getting back in shape!! plus its pretty fun dodging people walking on the sidewalks haha. Hopefully my shoes last.
There are new standards in the mission! After reaching our 450 goal last year, President really feels like this mission is turning into a mission where we should baptize every weekend. Baptizing every week in a month hasnt happened a lot in the mission but its definitely possible and its the goal he wants us to have in mind every single month. It´s almost like we are starting to serve in a South American mission. And thats the mindset we need to have because it can happen. This year has started out a little slow with baptisms in the mission but its starting to pick back up again. Every week we´re supposed to have 6+ people in church, 12+ member present lessons, 3+ fechas, and 6+ new investigators. Its a huge step up from last year but we´re already starting to see that its possible to get these goals. Here´s a miracle from last week.....We had a visit this last week with a Filipina lady named Shiryl and her boyfriend from India named Jitender. They live with a lady from Ecuador named Marlene. Lately, we´ve been struggling to set fechas with our investigators, but as we walked up the stairs to go to their piso for the visit, I turned to Elder Krasnoselsky and said, "we´re going to set 3 fechas this visit" We walked in, said a prayer with all of them and prayed specifically for the Spirit. We had a short lesson and then invited them to be baptized. They all said YES! We pulled out our baptismal plans and filled it out with all 3 of them. Jitender just got his papers so we are praying that he and Shiryl can get married soon. It was a miracle to see that when we have that faith and do our part, God will provide the rest. We reached that standard and some of the other ones this last week. This mission is going to be a whole new mission soon. Thats why we´re called EL FARO.
I love you fam. Sorry i dont have more pictures right now but i´ll get some soon. Thanks for all your emails and updates. I love hearing about whats going on in the family life. Especially from our Laker family life.... thanks greg!! Until next week!
